The Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT) basketball felled the host Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT), 66-51 in Friday's non-league test.
The Lancers (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Panthers go into the Southwest test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Masuk was beaten by Weston (Weston, CT), 58-49, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wilbur Cross for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Bassick will encounter a Governors squad coming off a 61-57 non-league win over North Haven (North Haven, CT). The Governors record now stands at 6-3.
