The Meadowdale Mavericks (Lynnwood, WA) basketball felled the host Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA), 68-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Mavericks (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Stanwood (Stanwood, WA). The Spartans go into the 2A/3A Wesco test with a 13-2 record. In their last test, Stanwood thwarted Snohomish (Snohomish, WA), 72-46, in a league test.
The Bayhawks now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lakewood for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest test on Monday, January 16. Bellingham will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 66-64 league loss to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA). The Cougars record now stands at 5-8.
