The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Boone Toreadors to 50 in the Monarchs non-league victory on Friday.

The Monarchs now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lewis Central for a Hawkeye Ten contest on Tuesday, January 17. Denison-Schleswig will battle a Titans team coming off a 57-56 league loss to Creston (Creston, IA). The Titans record now stands at 7-6.

The Toreadors (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Winterset (Winterset, IA). The Huskies come into the Raccoon River contest with a 7-5 record.
