The North Polk Comets basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Carlisle Wildcats to 41 in the Comets league victory on Friday.

The Comets now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carroll for a Raccoon River contest on Tuesday, January 17. North Polk will battle a Tigers team coming off a 71-59 league loss to Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-5.

The Wildcats (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Winterset (Winterset, IA). The Huskies come into the Raccoon River contest with a 8-5 record.
