Hahnville Tigers (Boutte, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host De La Salle Cavalier (New Orleans, LA), 56-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hahnville upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Bourgeois (Gray, LA) to clash with the Braves in a 5A District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 1-8.

Next up, the Cavalier clash with the Riverside Academy Rebels (Reserve, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. De La Salle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 58-55 non-league win over Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA).
