In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Eastern Eagles basketball team scored a tight 65-61 triumph over the New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays (Ripley, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 14. Eastern will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record.
