Elberta Warriors (Elberta, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gulf Shores Dolphins (Gulf Shores, AL), 49-38 in a league bout.
With the win, Elberta upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Williamson (Mobile, AL) to play the Lions in a 5A Area 1 bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 9-11.
Next up, the Dolphins play the Murphy Panthers (Mobile, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Gulf Shores will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 7-14 record after their 68-49 league loss to Blount (Eight Mile, AL).
