In Friday's league outing, the Gibson County Pioneers (Dyer, TN) basketball squad nipped the host Milan Bulldogs (Milan, TN), by a margin of 47-40.
The Pioneers (7-3) will now prepare for their match against Westview (Martin, TN). The Chargers enter the 2A District 12 match with a 1-12 record. In their last match, Westview was nipped by Union City (Union City, TN), 43-42, in a league match.
With the defeat, Milan moves to 12-4 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Huntingdon (Huntingdon, TN) to meet the Mustangs in a 2A District 12 match on Tuesday, January 17. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 8-8. Huntingdon won 74-45 in their recent non-league match against Gleason (Gleason, TN)
