Haddam-Killingworth Cougars (Higganum, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Westbrook Knights (Westbrook, CT), 68-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Haddam-Killingworth upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to North Branford (North Branford, CT) to play the Thunderbirds in a Shoreline bout on Saturday, January 14. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a record of 4-6. North Branford lost 46-44 in their recent league bout against Hale Ray (Moodus, CT)

Next up, the Knights play the Cromwell Panthers (Cromwell, CT) in a Shoreline bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Westbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 53-39 league win over Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT).
