Heritage Christian Defenders (Dyer, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Lake County Baptist Lions (Waukegan, IL), 66-21 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Heritage Christian upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Defenders travel to Hammond Baptist (Schererville, IN) to play the Swordsmen in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Swordsmen come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Hammond Baptist won 61-51 in their recent non-league bout against Families of Faith Christian Academy (Channahon, IL)

Next up, the Lions play the Marquette Manor Baptist Academy Minutemen (Downers Grove, IL) in a Illinois Christian bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Lake County Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Minutemen come into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 61-27 non-league loss to Quentin Road Christian (Lake Zurich, IL).
