The Joplin Eagles basketball team (Joplin, MO), was nudged 65-63 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Republic Tigers (Republic, MO)

The Tigers now possess a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smith-Cotton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Republic will meet a Tigers team coming off a 53-43 non-league loss to Waynesville (Waynesville, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 1-9.
