Wayland-Cohocton Eagles (Wayland, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Letchworth Indians (Gainesville, NY), 35-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wayland-Cohocton upgrades its record to 1-5 on the season. The Eagles host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NY) to play the Bombers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bombers go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Bloomfield lost 40-35 in their recent league bout against Dundee/Bradford Central (Dundee, NY)

Next up, the Indians play the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders (Caledonia, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Letchworth will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 0-10 record after their 56-36 league loss to Pavilion (Pavilion, NY).
