In Friday's league outing, the Myrtle Point Bobcats (Myrtle Point, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs (Roseburg, OR), by a margin of 63-30.

The Bobcats (8-7) will now prepare for their outing against Days Creek (Days Creek, OR). The Wolves go into the 1A Skyline outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Days Creek was trounced by Elkton (Elkton, OR), 53-38, in a league outing.

The Monarchs now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Eddyville for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 14. Umpqua Valley Christian will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 42-39 league win over Crow (Eugene, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 2-9.
