New York High School Basketball - Newfane tipped by North Tonawanda

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting North Tonawanda Lumberjacks basketball team scored a tight 67-61 triumph over the Newfane Panthers.

In their next game, the Lumberjacks meet the Charter School for Applied Tech Eagles (Buffalo, NY) in a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier match, on Tuesday, January 17. North Tonawanda will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 6-5 record after their 52-49 league win over Kenmore West (Buffalo, NY).

With the defeat, Newfane moves to 5-4 on the year. The Panthers host Albion (Albion, NY) to meet the Purple Eagles in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans match on Tuesday, January 17. The Purple Eagles enter the match with a record of 4-6. Albion lost 58-53 in their recent league match against Wilson (Wilson, NY)
