Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA) and the host Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA), saw Slidell's basketball squad wallop Pearl River by a count of 72-49.

With the victory, Slidell upgrades its record to 7-18 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Varnado (Angie, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-10. Varnado lost 59-48 in their recent non-league challenge against International (New Orleans, LA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Franklinton Demons (Franklinton, LA) in a 4A District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Pearl River will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record.
