The Valencia Jaguars topped the visiting Socorro Warriors basketball team by a final score of 59-42 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Jaguars face the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) in a 4A District 5 game, on Tuesday, January 17. Valencia will attempt to move on its 7-11 season record. The Pirates enter the game with a 7-9 record after their 77-64 non-league loss to Gallup (Gallup, NM).
With the defeat, Socorro moves to 4-12 on the year. The Warriors travel to Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Sundevils in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 17. The Sundevils enter the game with a record of 6-10. Sandia Prep lost 56-53 in their recent non-league game against Robertson (Las Vegas, NM)
