Union City Indians (Union City, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Union Rockets (Modoc, IN), 42-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Union City upgrades its record to 2-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Cambridge City Lincoln (Cambridge City, IN) to play the Golden Eagles in a Tri-Eastern bout on Friday, January 20. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 5-7. Cambridge City Lincoln lost 57-17 in their recent non-league bout against Clermont Northeastern (Batavia, OH)

Next up, the Rockets play the Community Christian Eagles (Connersville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 45-42 non-league win over Cincinnati Warriors (Hamilton, OH).
