The Damascus Hornets basketball team (Damascus, MD), was overwhelmed 77-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Clarksburg Coyotes (Clarksburg, MD)
The Coyotes now possess a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Quince Orchard for a Montgomery County - 4A West battle on Friday, January 20.
The Hornets (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD). The Barons come into the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Bethesda-Chevy Chase was overwhelmed by Churchill (Potomac, MD), 47-43, in a league battle.
