New Mexico High School Basketball - Las Cruces crushes Deming

January 13, 2023: Las Cruces, NM 88001

Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM), 71-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Las Cruces upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Bulldawgs host Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Trojans in a 5A District 3 bout on Monday, January 16. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 8-7. Mayfield lost 49-38 in their recent non-league bout against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Deming will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 26-22 non-league loss to Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM).
