The Kempsville Chiefs basketball team scored 72 points and held the host First Colonial Patriots to 47 in the Chiefs league triumph on Friday.

The Chiefs now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manor for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Kempsville will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 71-30 league win over Norcom (Portsmouth, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-3.

The Patriots (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kellam (Virginia Beach, VA). The Knights enter the Beach contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Kellam triumphed over Cox (Virginia Beach, VA), 61-27, in a league contest.
