Genesee Wolves (Genesee, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hamady Hawks (Flint, MI), 48-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Genesee upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Wolves host Beecher (Flint, MI) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Beecher won 45-21 in their recent league bout against Atherton (Burton, MI)

Next up, the Hawks play the Morrice Orioles (Morrice, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Hamady will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Orioles come into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 61-34 league loss to International Academy (Flint, MI).
