New Mexico High School Basketball - Pojoaque Valley knocked off by Grants

The Grants Pirates basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes to 36 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valencia for a 4A District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Grants will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 53-17 non-league win over Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 12-5.

The Elks/Elkettes (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Sundevils enter the 4A District 2 contest with a 7-9 record.
