Highland Hornets (Roscoe, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ira Bulldogs (Ira, TX), 68-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Hornets travel to Trent (Trent, TX) to clash with the Gorillas in a 1A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Gorillas go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Trent lost 57-12 in their recent league bout against Ira (Ira, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Loraine Bulldogs (Loraine, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Ira will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record.
