In Friday's non-league outing, the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) basketball squad beat the visiting Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY), by a count of 59-48.
The Lancers (12-0) will now prepare for their outing against Newington (Newington, CT). The Nor'easters go into the non-league outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Newington defeated Hartford Public (Hartford, CT), 73-31, in a non-league outing.
The Crusaders now hold a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Red Bank Catholic for a non-league outing on Sunday, January 15. Long Island Lutheran will clash with a Caseys squad coming off a 60-38 league win over Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ). The Caseys record now stands at 12-0.
