Texas High School Basketball - St. Michael's can't hold off Lutheran

The Lutheran Mustangs basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting St. Michael's Crusaders to 54 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 20-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Keystone for a TAPPS 3A District 4 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Lutheran will battle a Cobras team coming off a 29-26 non-league win over First Baptist Academy (Universal City, TX). The Cobras record now stands at 1-0.

Next up, the Crusaders play the Savio Eagles (Austin, TX) in a TAPPS 5A District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. St. Michael's will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 18-7 record after their 70-30 non-league win over Austin Royals HomeSchool (Austin, TX).
