In Friday's league outing, the Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA), by a count of 66-29.
The Braves (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against H-L-V (Victor, IA). The Warriors go into the South Iowa Cedar outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, H-L-V was crushed by Danville (Danville, IA), 61-45, in a non-league outing.
The Trojans now hold a 0-12 record. They play next when they travel to English Valleys for a South Iowa Cedar outing on Tuesday, January 17.
