The Powers Cruisers (Powers, OR) basketball nipped the visiting New Hope Christian Warriors (Grants Pass, OR), 45-39 in Friday's league test.
The Cruisers (7-1) will now prepare for their test against North Douglas (Drain, OR). The go into the 1A Skyline test with a 12-3 record.
The Warriors now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Prospect for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. New Hope Christian will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 33-15 non-league win over Riddle (Riddle, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 3-4.
