In Friday's league outing, the Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) basketball squad beat the host Phillips Wildcats (Chicago, IL), by a margin of 49-36.
The Thunderbirds (21-2) will now prepare for their outing against Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 9-13 record. In their last outing, Riverside-Brookfield was topped by Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL), 60-33, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Bloom for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 14. Phillips will clash with a Blazing Trojan squad coming off a 44-23 non-league win over Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL). The Blazing Trojan record now stands at 10-8.
