Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Purchase Line overwhelmed by United

The United Lions basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Purchase Line Red Dragons to 24 in the Lions league victory on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop McCort for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. United will battle a Crushers team coming off a 65-62 league loss to Central (Martinsburg, PA). The Crushers record now stands at 6-6.

The Red Dragons (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Homer-Center (Homer City, PA). The Wildcats come into the Heritage contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Homer-Center was routed by Redbank Valley (New Bethlehem, PA), 47-39, in a non-league contest.
