New Mexico High School Basketball - Grants tops Pojoaque Valley

Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), 34-24 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Grants upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Valencia (Los Lunas, NM) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 0-1.
Next up, the Elks/Elkettes play the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Pojoaque Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record.
