Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), saw Highland's basketball squad wallop Manzano by a tally of 57-27.
With the victory, Highland improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Belen (Belen, NM) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 20. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-4.
Next up, the Monarchs play the Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Manzano will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 34-27 non-league win over Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM).
