In Friday's non-league outing, the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 70-41.
The Monarchs (3-6) will now prepare for their outing against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 3-6 record. In their last outing, Bernalillo was trounced by Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM), 46-41, in a non-league outing.
The Hornets now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Belen for a non-league outing on Friday, January 20. Highland will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 62-28 non-league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.
