Minarets Mustangs (O'Neals, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Riverdale Cowboys (Riverdale, CA), 50-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Minarets upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Fowler (Fowler, CA) to play the Redcats in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Redcats go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Fowler won 54-27 in their recent league bout against Caruthers (Caruthers, CA)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Riverdale will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 45-21 league win over Yosemite (Oakhurst, CA).
