New Life Christian Academy Monarchs (Fayetteville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Star Christian Academy Golden Tigers (Smithfield, NC), 47-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Life Christian Academy upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Living Water Christian (Jacksonville, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Golden Tigers clash with the LifeSpring Academy (Clayton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Star Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 56-39 non-league win over Star Christian Academy (Smithfield, NC).
