Avon Grove Charter Wolves (West Grove, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Freire Charter Dragon (Philadelphia, PA), 37-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Avon Grove Charter upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Tri-State Christian (Elkton, MD) to play the Crusaders in a Mid-Atlantic Independent bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 18-3. Tri-State Christian won 59-45 in their recent non-league bout against The Christian Academy (Brookhaven, PA)

Next up, the Dragon play the Liguori Academy Falcons (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Freire Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 56-45 non-league loss to New Foundations (Philadelphia, PA).
