The Bayard Rustin Golden Knights basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Avon Grove Red Devils to 80 in the Golden Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Golden Knights now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sun Valley for a Ches-Mont - American contest on Tuesday, January 16. Bayard Rustin will play a Vanguards squad coming off a 35-28 non-league win over Eastern York (Wrightsville, PA). The Vanguards record now stands at 7-6.

Next up, the Red Devils play the Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA) in a Ches-Mont - National bout, on Thursday, January 18. Avon Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 63-55 non-league loss to Chester (Chester, PA).
