The Bay Springs Bulldogs basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting West Jones Mustangs to 51 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Meridian for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Bay Springs will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 69-68 league loss to Brandon (Brandon, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-7.
The Mustangs (10-12) will now prepare for their contest against Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The War Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Wayne County ran past Gautier (Gautier, MS), 55-52, in a league contest.
