In Saturday's non-league match, the host Mohawk Area Warriors basketball team scored a good 65-56 triumph over the Beaver Bobcats.
In their next game, the Warriors meet the Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 match, on Tuesday, January 16. Mohawk Area will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Lancers enter the match with a 12-1 record after their 68-15 league win over New Brighton (New Brighton, PA).
With the defeat, Beaver moves to 7-7 on the year. The Bobcats travel to North Catholic (Cranberry Township, PA) to meet the Trojans in a WPIAL 4A 2 match on Tuesday, January 16. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 8-4. North Catholic won 77-51 in their recent league match against Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA)
