In their next game, the Mavericks face the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) in a Virginia Independent game, on Tuesday, January 16. Miller School of Albemarle will attempt to move on its 11-3 season record. The Bishops enter the game with a 6-5 record after their 62-56 non-league loss to Benedictine (Richmond, VA).

With the defeat, Bishop McGuinness moves to 11-3 on the year. The Villains host Triad Math and Science Academy (Greensboro, NC) to face the Bengals in a 1A Northwest Piedmont game on Tuesday, January 16. The Bengals enter the game with a record of 2-9. Triad Math and Science Academy won 56-45 in their recent league game against Bethany (Summerfield, NC)
