In Saturday's non-league outing, the Bonners Ferry Badgers (Bonners Ferry, ID) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), by a count of 82-36.

The Badgers (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Timberlake (Spirit Lake, ID). The Tigers go into the 3A Intermountain outing with a 4-9 record.

The Grizzlies now hold a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside for a 1A Northeast outing on Tuesday, January 16. Newport will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 72-55 league win over Deer Park (Deer Park, WA). The Rams record now stands at 9-4.
