The Catholic - N.I. Panthers basketball team (New Iberia, LA), dropped 61-50 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Bossier Bearkats (Bossier City, LA)
The Bearkats now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Huntington for a 4A District 1 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Bossier will battle a Raiders team coming off a 59-54 non-league loss to Peabody (Alexandria, LA). The Raiders record now stands at 7-8.
The Panthers (15-6) will now prepare for their battle against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA). The Eagles go into the 2A District 8 outing with a 6-13 record. In their last outing, Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy was topped by Loreauville (Loreauville, LA), 67-37, in a league outing.
