Louisiana High School Basketball - Southside nips Carver Collegiate Academy

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) and the visiting Carver Collegiate Academy Rams (New Orleans, LA), saw Southside's basketball squad hold off Carver Collegiate Academy by a tally of 45-42.
With the victory, Southside improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Sharks host Barbe (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Buccaneers in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 9-7.
Next up, the Rams play the John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 15. Carver Collegiate Academy will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 46-41 league loss to Jesuit (New Orleans, LA).
