The West Union Dragons basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Clay Panthers to 48 in the Dragons non-league victory on Saturday.

The Dragons now sport a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host East for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. West Union will battle a Tartans team coming off a 53-50 league loss to Clay (Portsmouth, OH). The Tartans record now stands at 3-5.

The Panthers (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph Central (Ironton, OH). The Flyers come into the Southern Ohio I contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph Central was nudged by Notre Dame (Portsmouth, OH), 71-51, in a league contest.
