The Southern Lee Cavaliers ran past the visiting Fairmont Golden Tornadoes basketball team by a final score of 58-43 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills game, on Friday, January 19. Southern Lee will attempt to move on its 14-1 season record.
With the defeat, Fairmont moves to 9-3 on the year. The Golden tornadoes travel to Midway (Dunn, NC) to face the Raiders in a 2A Southeastern game on Tuesday, January 16. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 9-2. Midway won 49-37 in their recent non-league game against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC)
