The Ferndale Golden Eagles basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Nooksack Valley Pioneers to 46 in the Golden Eagles league victory on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Vernon for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Wednesday, January 17. Ferndale will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 85-60 league win over Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-2.

The Pioneers (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Trojans come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Meridian Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA), 0-0, in a league contest.
