Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY), 60-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Frederick Douglass upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Broncos travel to Henry Clay (Lexington, KY) to play the Blue Devils in a District 42 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 16-1. Henry Clay lost 77-51 in their recent league bout against Bryan Station (Lexington, KY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY) in a District 43 bout, on Friday, January 19. Paul Laurence Dunbar will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record.
