Kennedy Knights (Paterson, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Gill St. Bernard's Knights (Gladstone, NJ), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kennedy upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ) to play the Maroon Raiders in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Maroon Raiders come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Dwight Morrow won 68-50 in their recent league bout against Dumont (Dumont, NJ)

Next up, the Knights play the Roselle Catholic Lions (Roselle, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 14. Gill St. Bernard's will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 2-17 record after their 55-48 non-league win over Franklin (Somerset, NJ).
