The Hawthorne Math & Science Academy The Aviators basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers to 71 in the The Aviators non-league triumph on Saturday.
The The Aviators now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lennox Academy for a Coastal contest on Wednesday, January 17. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy will battle a Panthers team coming off a 57-41 league loss to Vistamar (El Segundo, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-8.
The Panthers (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against New West Charter (Los Angeles, CA). The Eagles enter the Crosstown contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, New West Charter nudged Larchmont Charter (West Hollywood, CA), 71-49, in a league contest.
