Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans (High Point, NC), 51-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Red Tornadoes travel to West Iredell (Statesville, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a 3A Western Foothills bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-9. West Iredell lost 77-53 in their recent league bout against Foard (Newton, NC)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Grace Christian Crusaders (Sanford, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Wesleyan Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 68-61 non-league win over Berean Baptist Academy (Fayetteville, NC).
