Georgia High School Basketball - Johnson can't hold off St. Andrew's

The St. Andrew's Lions basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Johnson Atomsmashers to 45 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bulloch Academy for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 2 contest on Tuesday, January 16. St. Andrew's will battle a Gators team coming off a 74-43 non-league loss to Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Gators record now stands at 8-8.

The Atomsmashers (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hart County (Hartwell, GA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Hart County was nudged by Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA), 76-56, in a league contest.
